Undergraduate course descriptions Graduate course descriptions Biography Dr. Chih-Yang Tsai, Associate Professor of Operations and Knowledge Management, earned his Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from Stern School of Business , New York University (1993) and his MBA degree from Tatung University in Taiwan. He has been a faculty member in the Business School of SUNY New Paltz since 1993 and currently serves as Assocate Dean of the School of Business at SUNY New Paltz. His recent research focus is in the area of supply chain cash flow risk management where he applies mathematical programming and simulation techniques to identify the best policy. He has published articles in Decision Support Systems, Discrete Mathematics, Interfaces, Mathematical Programming, Naval Research Logistics, Information Sciences, and Omega. Before his academic career, Dr. Tsai was a production controller and a special assistant to the CEO of a Taiwan based multi-national corporation. He had also helped an Internet telephony startup in Washington DC to design and setup its operations. Dr. Tsai teaches courses such as Accounting Information
Systems, Business Decision System Systems, and Managing Operations
&
Information
Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Operations
Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the Decision Sciences
