Finding your materials, part
7: Read "Writing a Research Paper," in Barnet's A Short Guide to Writing About Art. In the 11th edition this is Chapter 13. In the section of Chapter 13 titled "Finding the Material" (pp. 275-289) Barnet gives a very helpful outline of the major art-related reference materials and databases to consult. Our Library has many of them. Especially if you are an art history major, be sure to get this book and become familiar with it as it will help you immensely. Barnet's book is undeniably expensive, but an earlier edition will work nicely for you and is often available on Amazon.com for very little.
