COURSES TAUGHT
My primary area
of interest is Ground-Water Hydrology. I also enjoy teaching,
Environmental Geology, Field Hydrogeology and Physical Geology.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My current research interest is in ground water
pollution prevention and management especially in areas related to:
- Ground Water resource evaluation
- Predicting aquifer vulnerability with validation
- Analysis of geological/environmental data and
mapping using GIS
- Contaminant mapping, transport, and modeling
- Application of geophysics (GPR,
Electromagnetic, Magnetic, Electrical Resistivity and Shallow Seismic
methods) to environmental and hydrologic problems
- Nonpoint source pollution of water quality
issues in surface water and ground water
- Determination of infiltration processes
responsible for groundwater contamination by agricultural chemicals,
especially preferential flow through macropores
- Groundwater
and surface water interactions and modeling
- Land use and the impact on surface and ground
water quality
