How to get an Oracle user-name and password

• If you are a registered student you have an account on matrix. Even if you do not normally use your matrix account, you will have to use it to access Oracle and SQL*Plus. After your matrix account is configured to use Oracle and SQL*Plus you will be able to do the course work from anywhere by using telnet matrix.newpaltz.edu.
• If you have not been using matrix, validate your matrix account.
• Send an e-mail to me (zuckerman@mcs.newpaltz.edu) in which you tell me your matrix userid.
  • I do not have to know your matrix password.
  • Send the e-mail to me from the account you prefer to use for communications between us. This does not have to be your matrix account.
• After I verify that you have a valid matrix account, I will send you additional instructions.
