My lab is associated with TWO recently funded NSF instrumentation grants!
The first is to acquire an RT-PCR System (see details here) that will be set up in the Biology Department of SUNY New Paltz. My Lab will use this device to screen compound libraries against homogeneously purified nuclear receptor proteins to identify and characterize protein-small molecule interactions.
The second is to acquire an LC-MS system that will be housed at nearby Vassar College. My lab will use this to identify fortuitously co-purified compounds that are associated with our recombinantly expressed nuclear receptors.
