You have 5 minutes to complete the research phase of a term paper.

Task:  1.  Pair up.  You'll work faster as a group.
                   2.  Read the following scene carefully
                   3.  Use the skills you learned last week to search for articles.

The Scene:

Find two (2) articles for a paper on Brahms's vocal or choral writing.  They can be essays, reviews, interviews, or anything else.

 

 

To help you search, here are some terms you might consider:

Use the four full-text databases on our library's website [MUSIC Area] to find materials.  Then answer the questions below.

a) What search terms did you use?

 

b) What are some things you did to get specific results?
 
 

c) Describe the quality of the

 resources you found (e.g., interview, research, review...).  Describe the general tone and audience for the articles article
 
 

 

d) What made you choose these two articles?
 
 

e) If you had more time, what other resources would you like to have searched?  What would you have done differently?
 
 

f) Cite your articles below, in MLA format.  This example illustrates MLA format for articles found in a database.
