Personal worth is carried in higher regard than social standing, race, religion, or creed. We encourage, and in fact have brothers of all cultures. Although each brother has his own distinct personality, we come together to form a close knit family. And we don’t use the word family loosely. The Sigma Beta Chi brothers through our pledge process and numerous innovative activities, have formed a tight bond that will last for many years to come.

Many people have told us that they do not need a fraternity because they already have friends they can hang out with. If that’s all you’re looking for you’re probably right. But Sigma Beta Chi is much more. We do go out and have some great times with each other, but that is only a small fraction of it. We strongly believe that each brother should grow personally with Sigma Beta Chi. Through being active, each brother gets a hands on experience at such talents as running and promoting social and community service events. These practical skills not only help you in your college years, but in your professional years as well. Working and trusting people enough to call them brothers is an underrated skill that is optimized to the fullest with Sigma Beta Chi. But much more importantly, we promote friendship and brotherhood. The friends you make through pledging and being a brother of Sigma Beta Chi are not just friends during college, but friends for life. Once a family member, always a family member.
