The Developmental Biology Laboratory at New Paltz is a part of the Department of Biology. It is the research lab of Denis Moran and Spencer Mass. Historically, the lab has been concerned with the vertebrate neural crest and neural crest derivatives such as melanocytes. Recently the focus of work has changed to regenerative medicine and stem cell biology, with an emphasis on wound healing and regeneration in freshwater planaria.
