Volunteer Opportunities! :)
As a group of young Catholics, we have an obligation to serve our communities to the best of our abilities. It is not enough to be indignant about injustice, we must act to help the people in our communities who are in need.  As our t-shirt says, "Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action."

- Queens Galley Soup Kitchen:  About once a month, we go to the soup kitchen to help them serve dinner to the community members that gather there for a hot meal.  The Queens Galley serves 3 meals a day, 365 days a year at no charge and without asking for proof of need. For more information, contact Caitlin at smith497@newpaltz.edu.  Let her know what day and time is good for you. We're aiming for Thursday lunch or dinner.

- New Paltz Pregnancy Support Center:  We have just begun working with the pregnancy support center located in the plaza across from Stop and Shop.  The center works with young mothers who may otherwise choose to have an abortion to become more able to give birth to their baby.  As part of their ministry, they collect new or gently used baby clothes for their Baby Boutique which they are then able to give away to new mothers.  Some of our members went last semester to help reorganize the Baby Boutique and we look forward to continuing to work with them.  Elaine and Diana from the Pregnancy Support Center will be with us on September 14 to talk to us about their work. For more information, contact Alison at agratto26@newpaltz.edu.

- St. John Bosco's Home for Boys:  Last Fall, we had a game night with the boys at the Home and we will be planning another such game night for the near future.

- Adopt a US Soldier: We're adopting a deployed soldier this year! Once we get our soldier's information, we'll post the list of things we need donated on here.  We'll either ask for donations or make a field trip to the store to buy what we need. More information to follow. Contact Danielle at danielle.kloster28@newpaltz.edu.
